Masters and PhD Degree Programmes at Pan African University Scholarships
Young, qualified, talented, and ambitious individuals from African countries and the African Diaspora are warmly encouraged to submit their applications for Masters or PhD degree programs at any of the distinguished PAU institutes mentioned below. We specifically encourage candidates who possess great potential, motivation, and a strong aspiration to take on influential leadership positions as academics, professionals, industrialists, innovators, and entrepreneurs.
PAU Scholarships Admission Requirements for Masters Programmes
Candidates interested in Masters programmes must fulfill the following conditions:
- Male applicants must be under the age of 30, while female applicants must be under the age of 35.
- Hold an undergraduate degree in a relevant field from a recognized university, with at least a second-class upper division or its equivalent
- Provide certified copies of relevant certificates and transcripts from both university and high school
- Submit a passport or National I.D. card, highlighting personal details
- Include a clear colored passport-size photograph (2cmx2cm)
- Prepare a detailed CV
- Present a recommendation letter from one former University lecturer
- Provide the names of three reference University lecturers, along with their email addresses and WhatsApp numbers (mandatory)
Admission Requirements for Doctoral Programmes
Candidates interested in Doctoral programmes must fulfill the following requirements:
- Maximum age of 35 years for male applicants and 40 years for female applicants
- Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field from PAU or any internationally recognized university
- Provide certified copies of relevant certificates and transcripts
- Submit a passport or National I.D. card, highlighting personal details
- Include a clear colored passport-size photograph (2cmx2cm)
- Prepare a detailed CV
- Present recommendation letters from two Professors
- Include a 3 to 4-page Research Concept Note, covering tentative title, research questions, objectives, significance of the research, etc.
- Provide the names of three Reference University Teachers, along with their email addresses and WhatsApp numbers (mandatory)
Successful African candidates will be granted full scholarships by the African Union Commission, with an expectation of their commitment to working in Africa after graduation.
